Ayshatul Muwaddat was lying on her comfortable bed, the one they call “Italy,” but she wasn’t asleep. She was simply lying down, deeply thinking about Muhammad Auwal, as her heart had already arranged.

She continued with the thoughts she was used to—thoughts that had already become part of her. Whenever she was alone, she had nothing else to do except think about him. Her heart would keep describing to her his features, his body, and the way his life was structured. Everything about him fascinated her, especially the sound of his voice—so captivating and unforgettable—and his physical appearance.

She sighed deeply, then reached for her phone placed on the bedside table and searched for his number.

After one or two rings, he picked up in his calm, soft voice: “Hello, Aysha…”

As soon as she heard his soothing and penetrating voice, she closed her eyes and exhaled slowly. She felt something spread through her—from her head down to her entire body.

They both remained silent, neither making an effort to speak. Only their breathing and soft sighs filled the silence, flowing through every part of their bodies.

When he noticed she wasn’t speaking, he gathered courage and said: “Aysha, you called me but you’re silent. My heart is telling me there’s something you want to say, that’s why you called. What’s wrong? Tell me what’s bothering you…”

She kept quiet out of shyness, even though she wanted to speak, but her tongue refused to cooperate. He spoke again: “Tell me what’s troubling you, Aysha. Knowing it will give me peace of mind. Otherwise, you know it will only make me restless. Please, tell me…”

Hearing how gently he pleaded with her, she finally managed to speak: “It’s nothing… I just called to greet you.”

“Do you miss me?” he asked.

“Miss you? What do you mean?”

“Just the usual way you do,” he replied, softly blowing his breath toward the phone.

She sighed and said, “No, I don’t miss you.”

He smiled softly, a smile that made his face even more attractive, and said: “I don’t believe you. There’s something your heart is hiding.”

She remained silent again. He closed his eyes, thinking about her. He knew her well—not from today—because of how close they were. Their bond was deeper than one could imagine. Yet, despite their closeness, she never fully relaxed with him on calls. In fact, she was more open when chatting—she would talk freely and comfortably, sometimes even surprising him.

He slowly opened his eyes and continued speaking for a few seconds, then said: “Since you’ve spoken, let’s meet on WhatsApp…”

And he ended the call.
