The Waiting and Mahir’s Strategy

All of them were silent. From Dad Zad to Ammar, they were reconsidering Mahir’s words, who was carefully analyzing how they could gain everything without encountering any obstacles. Mahir never tolerated complications or delays in his work, so he approached everything with calm precision, observing before acting.

Dad Zad usually allowed others to follow Mahir’s guidance because it brought order and stability. But today, he felt that patience alone might not suffice, especially with Mahir speaking; they couldn’t risk losing a heart that was being carefully watched, nor could they risk missing an opportunity for a new birth.

Their hearts were divided among many people because of Jannah, yet no one was the right match—most they didn’t even know fully, secretly. And now, after a long search, they had finally found someone and were waiting for the right moment for her to give birth.

Mahir, understanding Dad Zad’s thoughts, said:

Professor Zaharadden Zaaden was the father of three children—two boys and one girl. His sons were especially loved because their mother had died, and they were raised by their father’s wife.

Prof was a serious man, well-versed in both religious and mystical knowledge. He was also very wealthy and had spent many years living in Malaysia with his family.

Boukhar Zaaden was the eldest, followed by Mahmoud Zaaden, and their sister Zayneb. Their father’s wife never bore children herself, so the three were the only children, each becoming successful adults. They grew up in Malaysia and studied there before returning to Nigeria with their father, who had aged considerably.

Years later, Zayneb married a professor in Port Harcourt. Boukhar and Mahmoud pursued studies separately abroad. Mahmoud had already married, but neither he nor Zayneb had children. Only after Boukhar married did children begin to be born in the family.

The Zaaden family amassed immense wealth, much of it beyond their comprehension. Each child, including Zayneb, had personal wealth of their own. Their love for one another was so strong that it kept the family closely united, despite being spread across different countries.

Mahir, the eldest son of Boukhar Zaaden, was born in Greece. After Boukhar’s death, the family returned to Nigeria. Their father’s vast assets could not be consolidated at once, so Mahmoud returned while Boukhar’s branch stayed in Nigeria with their families.

Zayneb and Ammar’s Medical Crisis

At age five, Zayneb became pregnant with complications due to her delayed childbirth and underlying heart disease, which had never been diagnosed. The family panicked and immediately sought medical care. After thorough evaluation, it was determined she required a heart transplant.

The family spared no expense in searching for a donor, given their immense wealth. Ammar, the child born from this pregnancy, was raised by Mimi, Mahir’s mother and Boukhar’s widow, since Zayneb’s health left her unable to care for him.

Zayneb’s illness brought the family to a state of deep worry, despite their riches. Even after Ammar was born, Zayneb’s health continued to deteriorate, and finding a donor proved impossible. Doctors assured the family that there was still some time before her heart would fail completely, so they continued to search tirelessly.

Ammar was raised amidst this tension. His mother’s fragile state traumatized him, affecting his development. Despite Mahir’s efforts to guide him, schoolteachers recommended psychological support due to the trauma he endured.

Meanwhile, Mimi became pregnant, facing her own health complications, adding more strain to the family. The Zaadens, despite their immense wealth, were now immersed in anxiety and fear, unsure how to handle the ongoing crises.

Later Developments

Mimi eventually gave birth to Saleem, bringing some joy back to the family. Mahir and Ammar grew up almost like brothers, their bond stronger than Mahir’s connection to Saleem.

Tragically, five years later, Zayneb passed away after her heart transplant failed due to chronic rejection. Her death shook the entire Zaaden family.

Ammar suffered severe trauma and, under doctors’ advice, the family moved him to a new environment in Greece to recover. Dad Zad also relocated with his family to ensure Ammar received proper medical care. Gradually, Ammar regained stability, continuing his studies alongside his siblings, though the pain of losing Zayneb remained.
