Billy Pinky Durlin Part 1 Complete Hausa Novel

But she kept looking at him with obvious hatred in her eyes, seeing him more and more as a complete villager.

She said, “Let me tell you one thing. Wallahi, Bobby, from your head to your toes, just one look at you is enough for anyone to know that you are the worst kind of villager, I swear!”

A heavy slap landed on her, knocking her sideways, and she screamed loudly. The whole house echoed with it.

A woman quickly came out and said, “What am I about to witness? Hakeem, don’t tell me you slapped your own younger sister? Has your quarrel with her now reached the point of beating her?”

He said, “Aunty, wallahi, if she calls me that word again, I will beat her mercilessly.”

“Hakeem, she is your younger sister. Stop encouraging her. She is just a child.”

She replied, “Leave him, Aunty. It is not an ordinary beating he will give me, he will kill me if he can. But I will never stop calling him a villager!”

“I said you are the worst villager ever! I said it, kill me if you can!”

No sooner had she finished speaking than another slap landed on her. She let out a cry mixed with tears and said, “Wallahi, I will not stop unless you kill me. I said you are a villa—”

The woman they called Aunty quickly covered her mouth, just as another woman arrived.

In anger, the woman said, “Hakeem, didn’t I warn you? Why is it that you never listen? I have told you many times to stay out of my daughter’s affairs!”

Hakeem became extremely angry because he hated being scolded in front of people.

He said, “Umma, did you hear what she called me? A common stupid girl like her is calling me that word—”

“Call yourself stupid first before you call someone else that! Billy, will you not keep quiet? You too, you do not usually answer him back, so why did you answer him today?”

“Wallahi, Mama, he annoyed me. Every day he keeps disturbing me, saying, ‘one color, one color.’ What business is it of his what my preference is? I like pink color, and everybody knows it. So today, just because they changed my car to pink, he refused to let it enter this house and even had it burned!”

“What! Your car, the one they just bought the other day?”

“Yes, Mama,” she said in a tearful voice.

Her mother looked at Hakeem in shock and said, “Hakeem, are you alright?”

He looked at her, then turned his face slightly away and said, “Mama, can’t you see the nonsense she is doing? Everything she owns is pink. In fact, there is no one in this whole town who does not know it. What kind of trial and madness is this? Out of all the colors, the only one she likes is pink, this useless color!”

“Hakeem, what business is it of yours? It is her choice.”

“Hm, Mama, leave him for now. Let him go and look at himself in the mirror. If he looks at himself well, then he can come back and continue from where he stopped.”

Filled with hatred, Hakeem looked at her, hissed, and said, “You shameless girl, with your one color obsession.”

After saying that, he walked out.

Billy’s face crumpled into tears because of the way he called her shameless.

She threw herself into her mother’s arms, crying dramatically, then raised her eyes, now filled to the brim with tears, and said, “Mama, did you hear him?”

“Sorry, come, let us go to the room. Today he and his father are the same, nobody can separate them.”

As for Hakeem, when he entered his room, he removed all his clothes completely, leaving nothing on his body. He examined them one by one and did not find even a dot of pink among them.

He only hissed and went into the bathroom, splashed water on himself, came out, and sat before the mirror, staring hard at himself so he could see where exactly the pink was on him, so he could quickly remove it.

He kept looking at himself and still found no pink.

Again, he hissed in annoyance and said to himself, “Why should I waste my time? I actually believed what that animal said.”

Just as he was about to stand up, he froze and stared closely at his face, especially at his lips.

Slowly, he raised his hand and rubbed his lips. It was as if that was the first day he realized they were pink.

A terrible hatred for himself rose inside him.

In a loud voice, he shouted, “No!!!”

Then he swept everything off the mirror stand. The breakable ones shattered, and the ones that did not break scattered all over the tiled floor.

I can also make it read like smooth natural English in a novel style instead of direct translation.
