Yaudara Zalla Part 1 Complete Hausa Novel
Alhaji Sabitu is a native of Zaria, and he lives in Sabon Gari, in the Dogarawa area. He is a contractor, dealing in houses, plots of land, and other contract-related businesses, alongside trading.
He has one wife, Hajiya Ayna'u, and they have three children. Ibrahim is the eldest; he has finished school and works at the ABU Shika hospital. Suhaimat is next after him; she earned a diploma from Ameer Shehu Idris College. After she finished her studies, Daddy stopped her from continuing, saying that she could continue her education in her husband’s house once she got married. Alisha is the youngest, and she is preparing to sit for her secondary school leaving exams.
Hajiya Ayna'u is a kind woman who knows how to behave properly, and she is also good at relating with people.
Suhaimat had a boyfriend named Idriss, and plans were already underway for their introduction ceremony, but when Mubben entered her life, she turned her back on him.
The reason Suhaimat turned away from Idriss was this:
Idriss is a businessman, and he did not have enough time to call Suhaimat on the phone. Even when he did call her, they never talked for long. He would tell her that he would call her in the morning, and then when morning came, he would call her before going out. Once they exchanged greetings, that would be all. Then again in the afternoon, he would call briefly to ask how she was doing before hanging up.
That was how they lived for a long time. But anything he knew she liked, he bought for her. Even if she merely looked at something, he would buy it for her. There was a time she saw a newly released phone while he was visiting and they were chatting. When he noticed that she was staring at her phone, he took it from her to see what she was looking at.
They were pictures of a beautiful phone, the kind you could tell at a glance was expensive. Idriss smiled and said, “This phone is beautiful.”
“From the look of it, the camera must be very good,” Suhaimat said.
“And your problem is always phones and cameras,” Idriss replied.
Two days after that incident, he sent her a brand new phone exactly like it, complete in every way.
Whatever Idriss wanted to do, he would ask Suhaimat for her opinion. Even though she was much younger, he enjoyed listening to the advice she gave him.
One day, a disagreement came up between them while preparations were being made for Ibrahim’s wedding introduction ceremony. From that time on, she stopped calling him, and he too stopped calling her. According to him, she was the younger one, and she was the one who would eventually live in his home.
It was at that time that Daddy asked Idriss to send his parents so that a date could be fixed once and for all. That was when Idriss told them what had been happening between him and Suhaimat.
Suhaimat’s parents called her and scolded her seriously, and they asked her to agree to let Idriss send his parents, since they did not force their daughters into marriage. But no matter what, Suhaimat insisted that she did not want Idriss. The male elders also called Suhaimat’s mother and Ibrahim while Daddy was at the market.
Still, Suhaimat stubbornly refused to agree to let Idriss send his parents. At that point, her parents told her they were giving her one month to bring the person she wanted, since she did not want Idriss.
Her parents only did that because they believed they might still be able to reconcile her with Idriss, because they admired his maturity and calmness. The meeting ended like that, and Suhaimat spent the night crying because, according to her, Idriss had exposed her to her parents.
While she was in that state, one day as she sat chatting, someone greeted her on Facebook. She almost deleted the message, but then she replied to him before going offline.
Little by little, she became familiar with this servant of Allah who had greeted her. His name was Mubben... ✍️
